Known to many as the Cake Lady, Ruth Reynolds opened the Deli Man Cake Lady in October 2003, serving up a unique and delicious menu of wraps and sandwiches, soups and salads and of course, a naughty array of mouthwatering cakes and desserts.

A native of Rome, Georgia, Ruth has lived in Chattanooga for 10 years and chose the historic Highland Park neighborhood as the setting for her popular deli restaurant and catering business. Inside the restaurant, colorful booths with concrete tabletops line one wall, while paintings by local artists hang above them. The pressed-tin ceiling, school house lights, chalkboard menus and 10-foot wooden doors reflect the character of the Cake Lady herself, and of the revitalized neighborhood in which her restaurant is located.
